Suarez Says Evra Allegations Were “All False”

In the story that just won’t die, Liverpool star Luis Suarez has claimed that Manchester United defender Patrice Evra’s allegations that the Uruguayan racially abused him were “all false” and that he was “accused without proof”.

The striker, who was banned for eight matches and fined £40,000 by the FA for using the heavily disputed term “negrito” in relation to Evra, remains unapologetic and refused to add the incident to the list of mistakes he’s made in football in a recent interview with a Uruguayan radio station. Suarez was quick to name both biting incidents – one involving Otman Bakkal while playing for Ajax and the other with Branislav Ivanovic last April — but when it comes to Evra, he still maintains that he did no wrong.

This, of course, is nothing new for the striker; throughout the “trial” and his subsequent conviction – based solely on the word of the accused – Suarez vehemently maintained his innocence. Those who are surprised that he did the same now need to give their collective heads a bobble.

“The case with Evra was all false. I was accused without proof” explained Suarez while talking to Uruguayan radio station Sport890 AM. “But that’s in the past. I was sad at that moment, but I’m happy today. I have grown up. I have thought more about things before doing them.”

While it’s hard to argue with a man who continues to fight to clear his name of a heinous allegation, it becomes even harder when you won’t let the incident die – next time, Suarez may want to take the completely acceptable”no comment” approach and move on.

While I enjoy reading Paisley Gates The whole give your heads a wobble quote to someone who categorically denies ever racially abusing a fellow pro is wrong.
If the shoe was on the other foot and Paisley Gates was accused and found guilty in the manor of which took place I find it difficult to believe you would turn the other cheek and offer the “NO Comment ” line. #YNWA

Also if you look at the hand shake on Spanish media they show other angles which show that Evra removed his hand when Suarez went top shake it, it was Evra who was to blame for that, not Suarez.

Also Suarez has a good point, bring in the lip readers. We should not let this go, as it shows once again how the British establishment hates Liverpool.

We can not allow false racism to tarnish the Liverpool brand, Liverpool have and need fans all over the world or we will become Newcastle…
