Victor Moses Expecting Chelsea Return

London bound

After arriving with such promise on transfer deadline day, Chelsea loanee Victor Moses hasn’t done too much since arriving at Liverpool on a season long loan. One goal in 18-appearances for the Merseysiders has insured that his deal won’t be made permanent — something that he’s resigned himself to.

Speaking with Sky Sports ahead of this weekend’s clash with his parent club, the Nigerian winger confirmed that he’s London bound come the end of the season. “I’m a Chelsea player” said Moses. “I came to Liverpool to do a professional job but come the end of the season I will be going back to Chelsea to fight for my place.” That is, if Blues boss Jose Mourinho is interested in even letting him try.

Following the Portuguese managers second coming at Stamford Bridge, Moses became even more of a peripheral figure with a number of star studded Chelsea players clearly ahead of him in the pecking order. Although he expected more playing time at Anfield — and has expressed his frustration at not being picked more often on more than one occasion — the winger is still hoping that he can be one of the players to lift the Premier League title come the end of the season.

“I can’t say it’s in the bag but with the kind of players we’ve got, we’re just going to work hard together as a team and hope for the best at the end of the season” he continued. “We’re all getting together and working hard as a team, which is the most important thing. In the training sessions, everyone is at it to make sure we win every single game.”

The 23-year old will be ineligible for selection when the Blues visit Anfield this weekend, but there’s a slight chance he could be involved in the Reds remaining two matches of the season against Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.
