Liverpool Youngster Jordon Ibe Set for Bolton Wanderers Loan

Heading to the Reebok Stadium?

With the transfer window winding down, Liverpool have been busy in the market and look set to do more business with youngster Jordon Ibe looking likely to be loaned out to Championship side Bolton Wanderers before deadline day.

The 18-year old, who made his first team bow for the Anfield outfit at the tail end of the 2012/2013 season in 1-0 victory over Queen’s Park Rangers, featured heavily in the Reds’ pre-season tour of North America, but looks unlikely to play a big part this season following the arrival of Lazar Markovic from Benfica and Adam Lallana in big money moves over the summer.

First team football is absolutely paramount for his development so a loan deal looks to be the best fit for everyone involved with Bolton boss Dougie Freedman said to have beaten off competition from a number of clubs to bring the promising winger to the Reebok Stadium. Ibe spent two months on loan to fellow Championship side Birmingham FC last season as the Blue’s escaped relegation to the third tier of English football in dramatic fashion on the final day of the season.

Although the 18-year old will not feature for the Reds during the upcoming campaign, he is being tipped to be a future star on Merseyside and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has taken a keen interest in his development. First team football is absolutely paramount to progress, and should the deal be done within the next day or two, it’s expected that he’ll go straight into the side to face Sammi Hyypia’s Brighton and Hove Albion — where another Red is currently on loan — at the weekend.

Hopefully it means we’re close to signing another player too.
