We’re down to the last two matches of this wretched season and I’m about ready to say goodbye and good riddance. It’s hard to find positives after our Europa League exit on a fuckin’ technicality but tomorrow is another match and the chance to end the season with a bang.

Galvanized under Carlo Ancelotti, Chelsea has been top of the league for almost the entire season. You have to respect the versatility an resiliance they’ve displayed to keep a hold at the summit but, with all due respect, that doesn’t mean I have to like it or them.

Somehow this fixture has become a bit of a grudge match. You’ve got the Rafa vs Carlo battle for tactical supremacy. You’ve got the Gerrard vs Lampard battle¹ for midfield mastery. You’ve got a stand full of famous Kopites vs the biggest set of Glory Hunters this side of Manchester. Everything is in place for us to ruin the Blues run to the EPL trophy but at what expense?

Ed from the LFC Offside touched on the ramifications of us taking Chelsea to the cleaners² and how that may effectively hand Manchester United the coveted 19th League Title that would push them past us in the all important overall standings. With a Champions League spot still on the line and our pride at stake, I don’t think this is going to be a concern.

We’re going to give this all we got. We might be missing a good chunk of our squad but this is Anfield and we’re fuckin’ Liverpool³. Rolling over is not an option. GET THE FUCK IN.
