Speculation galore and it’s looking like we’re going to hit the breaking point in the Javier Macherano to anywhere but Merseyside rumblings. The Argentine Captain is back at Melwood but so far he’s not talking. Various web fodder is playing up reports that Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has been trying to get in touch with our diminutive midfield destroyer but is getting the cellular cold shoulder with not a single call returned. No news on whether or not Roy knows how to text or if Macherano just hasn’t quite figured out how to charge his phone but I’m going to venture a guess and say this news just isn’t good. Rafa has made no secret of his desire to be re-united with the crux of his former system in his new look Milan side. With anywhere between £25mil - £35mil being touted as his attached price tag and a Europa League qualifier looming on the horizon, our new Gaffer is going to have quick decisions to make. Let’s hope he can do it real quick like…
I’d be real interested to know if Roy included him on the UEFA squad list.
I doubt Mascherano would be included in the Europa league list. That would make his price plummet by at least 2/3rds!!!
