Kolo Toure Becomes a Warrior

Welcome to the family Kolo
After arriving on a free transfer from Manchester City during the summer, Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure has cemented his place as a Kop favorite; if it’s not his full blooded performances winning all kinds of plaudits, it’s his huge smile and affable personality that’s endearing him to Reds everywhere. Now that he’s part of the Liverpool family, the 32-year old has decided to take the next step and join up with Warrior Sports.

The American sportswear brand already boasts the likes of Vincent Kompany, Marouane Fellaini and Tim Cahill in its growing stable of professionals, and along with Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler as a brand ambassador, Toure brings some Merseyside flavor to the Warrior camp as he aims to bring the title back to Anfield for the first time in the Premier League era.

The Ivory Coast international knows all about winning having taken home the highest honour with two different clubs during his eleven years in England and he thinks his new side have what it takes to go all the way. “I believe Liverpool can win the league in the next few years. I know I’m at the right club to achieve my goals and now I feel I’m with the right sportswear brand to help me fulfill those ambitions” said the Reds defender. “Liverpool Football Club has the right mentality, and during my time here, it’s been easy to see why the club chose Warrior to enter this new era. I’ve chosen to wear Skreamer because it’s a boot that offers both power and accuracy — the perfect match for my game!”

After returning to the national set-up after a brief hiatus, Toure is expected to be one of the players rocking Warrior boots at next summer’s World Cup in Brazil – something that Ben Haworth, global sports marketing manager for the brand, is delighted about. “We are extremely proud to welcome Kolo to the brand. He is a player whose immense ability matches his strong personality and ambition! We want players who do things the Warrior way, letting their football do the talking and leading by example on the pitch. Kolo epitomizes this mentality,” he said.
