As Salah Deal Stalls, Liverpool Look to Morata

Anfield bound?
With a move for FC Basel winger Mohamed Salah apparently on the rocks, reports are filtering through this morning that Liverpool will turn their attentions to a loan deal for out of favor Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Morata if a move for the Egyptian fails to materialize.

The promising Spain u21 player, who was linked with Tottenham over the summer, is considered a hot commodity on the continent and with fears that an injury to Daniel Sturridge or Luis Suarez could derail Liverpool’s Champions League ambitions, it’s thought that Rodgers is prepared to launch a loan bid for the apparently out of favor striker. Although a permanent move would likely be out of the question, for the time being anyways, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti could be persuaded to shift Morata off on a temporary basis.

Arsenal are also thought to be keen admirers of the starlet with Theo Walcott on the sidelines for the rest of the season and the likes of Olivier Giroud and Nicklas Bendtner suffering knocks, but Liverpool are apparently in with a shout as the Reds continue to hang with the big boys at the upper echelons of the league table. Of course, this could all be a makeweight to force FC Basel’s hand over winger  Mohamed Salah.

A deal for the ” Egyptian Messi ” looked to be all but done and dusted but the Swiss side aren’t ready to part with the talented winger without a fight; or, at the very least, a bidding war. Reports that Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg are ready to blow Liverpool’s offer of £7mil out of the water with nearly double that figure has been making the rounds. The whole thing sounds a bit dubious, but Russian sides making rash financial decisions is nothing new at all…

I am truly disgusted that you’ve got the balls to call yourself a supporter, constantly pissing and moaning. Why should Liverpool be held to ransom. Stop acting like a baby and come back and write something positive when your balls have dropped you over grown baby. Do you really think That Salah would cost 7 mil anyhow, don’t belive. You probably thought you had a pube till you pissed out of it bitch.

If Salah is not worth at least 7 mil why will zenith and dortmund bother to offer much more for him!
that’s how we lost Mkitharyan last time.
Salah wants to come, he is awful good and he is essential for us , FSG knows what to do now.
you won’t get LPHQ (LOW-PRICE-HIGH-QUALITY) players each and every time and it’s certainly not a philosophy to do business.
    Salah is worth the investment.

To be fair I think 7mil is a very low offer for a player like him… Although to be honest I have only seen him play against chelsea x2 and spurs. I think we should focus on getting some one better then Lucus If we got say Matic, that should mean a much stronger 1st 11 and stop players running right through us… and cure our main problem of lack of stamina in the center as we can not expect hendo to do all the running doing the closing down for 3 players.

Your a disgrace for not respecting deans opinion. Why don’t you come back when you can spell. Let’s see how much other clubs pay for salah, it won’t be 7 million. People like you make me laugh, you might be happy with us not winning the league for so long, but I ain’t. No we can’t compete with the big boys financially, but by not bringing in quality players for 12-15m sends out all the wrong signals. Pay peanuts get monkeys.

So your one of these imbeciles that’s a member of the grammar police you little turd. Where do I say that I’m happy not to win the league ? Stop making things up. We paid peanuts for Suarez, Coutinho , Agger, Sturridge. You only know what you’ve read then come on doors like this thinking you know the exact state of the negotiations.
