LISTEN: Twenty Minute Interview with Bob Paisley

It’s been nearly 20 years since Liverpool football club lost one of its greatest managers. Three European Cups, six league titles and numerous domestic honors, Bob Paisley remains the Reds most successful manager in their storied history.

Bill Shankly may get the lion’s share of the plaudits – and few can argue with the great mans place in the pantheon of Liverpool legends – but Paisley was the one to truly take Shanks vision and bring it to fruition on the back of his shock decision to retire in the summer of 1974. The rest, as they say, is history.

It’s hard to say anything about the man that hasn’t already been said – and said far better than I could – but you can still see his impact on the club even today in the hunger and desire of everyone associated with the Liverpool Football Club to return it to the kind of glory days we enjoyed under the great man.

You’ll never walk alone, Bob.

Can’t find up from down or tell black from white, but doesn't care cause it’s all Red to him. When he's not pissing and moaning about all things Liverpool, he’s chatting nonsense with his multiple personalities — or his “entourage” as he likes to call them.
