Philippe Coutinho left Inter Milan to move to Liverpool back when Brendan Rodgers was in charge of the club. The little Brazilian consistently improved to become a star at Anfield before opting to leave for Barcelona.
Under Jurgen Klopp, the Samba playmaker was one of the most important players in the Reds’ squad. In the 2017-18 campaign, the German manager even opted to hand Coutinho the captain’s armband for a few games in December 2017, still, he decided to move to the Catalan giants in the winter transfer window of 2018.

After completing his move to Barca, the Brazilian was delighted and said (Sky Sports):
“I am very happy, it is a dream come true and I hope to meet all expectations in the field.”
It seems that the dream has turned into a complete nightmare for him as so far, he has not been able to replicate his best form at the Nou Camp. In the recently concluded campaign with the Catalan giants, Coutinho only scored 5 goals in 34 league appearances.
He has been jeered by his own supporters and has often found himself on the bench under Valverde (started 38 games out of 54).
Reflecting on his average campaign with Barca, Coutinho said (Marca):
“I have not had a good season. My performances have been a lot worse than I expected they would.”
“The only way to improve and gain confidence is through hard work, and I have been working hard.”
After just one full season at the Nou Camp, the 27-year-old playmaker is linked with a move away from the club. As per reports (Mundo Deportivo), the Spanish champions have made Coutinho available for sale in the summer transfer window but so far, they have not received a single offer for him.
