England great Bryan Robson believes there is just one player that was even harder than Liverpool legend Graeme Souness.
Souness played a key role in one of the greatest era’s in Liverpool’s history back in the late-1970s into the early 1980s, winning an abundance of honours along the way including several European Cups.
The Scottish great made a little over 350 appearances for the Reds during his six years at the club before he eventually transferred to Italian outfit Sampdoria for a fee of around £650,000 in 1984.
Souness eventually made a return to the club as manager in 1991 after fellow club legend Kenny Dalglish resigned. He won just one trophy during his tenure as manager before tendering his resignation in January of 1994.
In a feature with OLBG UK, Bryan Robson didn’t hesitate to name the one man that he believes was harder than Souness in a shock claim.
“Roy Keane.”
Keane became an instrumental figure for Liverpool’s arch-rivals Manchester United during his storied professional career.
Known for his fierce rivalry with former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira, Keane is widely considered to be one of, if not the toughest player to have ever played in the Premier League.
