With Fabio Borini on the injured list for the remainder of the season and Raheem Sterling suffering from a loss of zip, Rodgers may be forced to look to new boy Philippe Coutinho to get the ball rolling. The former Inter Milan playmaker has shown some encouraging signs since landing on Merseyside during the winter transfer window and if Sturridge does miss out through injury, he could prove to be a valuable asset when the Reds eventually run out of ideas.
