Marco Reus Continues to Stall on Borussia Dortmund Deal

Even the transfer windowing being closed until the new year hasn’t stopped the rumours linking Borussia Dortmund wing sensation Marco Reus with a move to the Premier League, and amidst reports that the 25-year old continues to drag his heels on signing a contract extension with the German giants, they’re not going to stop any time soon.
Liverpool, along with both Arsenal and Manchester United, are thought to retain a keen interest in the talented attacker and are reportedly biding their time before trying to bring him to England. With his buyout fee set to drop to £20mil this coming summer, Dortmund have been scrambling to tie him down to a new long-term deal, but the German international continues to give them the cold shoulder as he apparently waits to see what kind of offers come in for his services.
Reus has stayed mum on reports linking him away from the Westfalenstadion, but it’s believed that he would favour a move to the Premier League should he decide to leave Germany — though his manager believes that he isn’t going anywhere. “I have a very good feeling about the Marco Reus situation,” Die Schwarzgelben boss Jurgen Klopp told German media outlet Bild back in August. “He will continue to play for Dortmund for a long time.”
The German clubs transfer policy has been questioned by the 25-year old with both Robert Lewandowski and Mario Goetze making high profile moves to rival Bundesliga side Bayern Munich over the last couple of years with similar clauses triggered in their contracts. Whether or not that will be enough to see Reus jump ship remains to be seen, but should he angle for a move, the Reds will likely be in the conversation.
Or, in the very least, the media will make it sound that way…
