Is that a double double?The News Desk hasn’t felt the need to wade in the quagmire that is the search for a new manager quite yet, but all good things eventually come to an end. Rumours are swirling around the interwebz that prospective Liverpool gaffer Roberto Martinez will be making an announcement regarding his future, or in the very least continuing his dialogue with Fenway Sports Group, this Tuesday. The current Wigan boss has been heavily linked with the vacant Anfield hotseat after Kenny Dalglish was dismissed, following a less than acceptable season, over a week ago. The owners have cautious with replacing the outgoing regime with no major announcements, bar the appointment of Billy Hogan as Chief Commercial Officer, three days ago. Although little can be confirmed as gospel, it’s believed that a Technical Director, supposedly Louis van Gaal, will be in place before a manager is formally given the reigns. Whether that manager will be Martinez, and whether it will be on Tuesday, and whether or not the moon is actually made out of cheese, is yet to be known.
