Liverpool will have to break Hearts to qualify for Europa League

See what I did there? Yes, it’s cheesy but so am I. The Europa League play-off round was announced today and it is good news for Liverpool. The Reds have been paired with Heart of Midlothian FC on 23 August. This will make the traveling much easier on the players. Fitness is a top concern in the current Brendan Rodgers footballing system and with the boys facing Manchester City on the 26th of August, it will be nice to not have to make a long trek back from some dark corner of Europe. ((Like Belarus)) The Scottish side placed 5th in the Scottish Premier League last season, but left the Europa League early after being decimated at home 5-0 by Tottenham. The club has also lost a few players this summer so it will make their current league and Europa Campaign much more challenging. After witnessing Liverpool’s display against the FC Gomel at Anfield, Heart’s manager John McGlynn must be scratching his head and wondering what in the world he is going to do to defend against the Red Machine.
