CONFIRMED: Jordon Ibe Completes Derby County Loan Move

It looked to be on the cards for a little while now and today Liverpool have confirmed that winger Jordon Ibe has joined Championship side Derby County on a season long loan.
The 18-year old, who looks to have a bright future at Anfield after impressing during the Reds busy pre-season fixture list, will join Steve McClaren’s side immediately as they try to push for promotion to the Premier League. Last year another Liverpool youngster in Andre Wisdom — currently on loan once again, but this time at fellow top flight side West Bromwich Albion — helped the Rams reach the play-off final where they narrowly lost out to Queens Park Rangers at Wembley Stadium.
“He is a direct player with plenty of ability and he will certainly strengthen the attacking options. We’re delighted that Liverpool have again chosen to loan us one of their promising young players” said McClaren when the deal was announced. “Jordon is someone who we’ve been aware of for quite a while and have been impressed whenever we’ve seen him in action. He has a lot of potential and we believe that we can help his career development.”
Derby, who currently lie seventh in the Championship table having taken seven points from their first four matches, could hand Ibe his debut this weekend when they host Ipswich Town at Pride Park.
We’d like to wish Jordon the best of luck and look forward to following his progress throughout the season.
