CONFIRMED: Bolton ‘keeper Adam Bogdan Agrees to Terms with Liverpool

After previously confirming the captures of both James Milner from Manchester City and Danny Ings from Burnley FC, Liverpool have made it a trio of Bosman signings with the club announcing that they’ve agreed to terms with Bolton Wanderers ‘keeper Adam Bogdan earlier today.

The Hungarian shot-stop has been brought in following the departure of long-serving number two Brad Jones to both provide cover and competition for current first team goalie Simon Mignolet. While this particular signing isn’t likely to set Red hearts everywhere a flutter, the 27-year old arrives at Anfield with glowing reviews from the Trotters faithful who believe that he could have a real shot at pushing his way into the starting eleven.

Following his performance in a goalless draw between the two sides in the fourth round of the FA Cup back in January, it wouldn’t be all that surprising. Bogdan, between the sticks for the visitors, put in a man of the match performance for Bolton as the Championship side forced their top-flight hosts into a lucrative replay at the Macron Stadium which saw Reds talisman Philippe Coutinho bag a spectacular late winner to see his side through to the next round.

Currently on international duty with Hungary and part of their squad for tomorrow’s Euro 2016 qualifier with Finland, Bogdan is expected to complete a medical in the coming days ahead of officially joining the club on July 1st along with both Milner and Ings.
