After failing to secure himself a permanent move back to the San Siro following a frustrating, injury hit season on loan with AC Milan, Liverpool have confirmed that Mario Balotelli has no future at Anfield and are desperate to off-load the controversial striker.
“It is never too late,” said self proclaimed super-agent Mino Raiola when asked about the Italian’s future. “If you think Mario makes me despair, you’re wrong because his life has improved a lot and now he just needs the right opportunity,” he continued, sounding optimistic that he’ll find the right solution for the troubled 25-year old. “Of course, he also needs a bit of luck which he hasn’t had over the last two seasons, but I assure you he’s a great person, a lad with a big heart.”
Interest from both the China and Turkey has of yet come to nothing with only a the likes of Serie A sides Sampdoria and newly promoted Crotone expressing any desire to take on the considerable challenge that is managing Balotelli. As per usual, there’s your standard links with Inter Milan now that Roberto Mancini, who worked with the striker during his time with Manchester City, is in charge of the Nerazzurri, but he’s said on numerous occasions that a reunion isn’t in the stars.
“Where will he go? I’m saying nothing,” added Raiola, having obviously no clue himself. “Let’s see what happens, I won’t close the door on any solution. That goes for Mario and all my players,” stressed the Dutchman, who has already negotiated moves for notable clients Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer. “I listen to what is offered to me and then I decide along with them.”
