Every once and awhile we like to look out and see what our loan signings have been up to. It’s nice to see that the likes of Joao Carlos Teixeira, Luis Alberto and Divock Origi are scoring goals and contributing to their team. Of course there’s a few of you who might be wondering what Iago Aspas has been up to since moving to La Liga side Sevilla in the middle of July. Well, for one thing, he got his weight in beer.
The striker, who failed in impress in England after trading Celta Vigo for Liverpool last summer, was farmed out to the Andalusian outfit with a view to a permanent move next summer. Although he’s yet to make an appearance for his new team, he was on the receiving end of a pretty solid gift from their shirt sponsor Cruzcampo — a division of Heineken — when he, along with the rest of the team, were given their weight in beer.
Whether or not that will help him get in the side remains to be seen, but indulging in a bit too much of their tasty product likely won’t do him — or his corner-kicks — any favours…
