CONFIRMED: Jack Robinson Joins Queens Park Rangers Before Joining Huddersfield on Loan
The Champions League draw has resulted in a bit of a news vortex as Kopites everywhere react to being drawn against Real Madrid in Group B, but we can assure you that other things have been happening in the world today — and one of them is Liverpool defender Jack Robinson moving to Queens Park Rangers.
The 20-year old, who’s made 11 first team appearances for the Reds since being handed his debut against Hull City at the tail end of the 2010 season, has penned a four year deal at Loftus Road for an undisclosed fee. Oddly enough, upon making the move official, he was immediately loaned out Championship side Huddersfield Town for the upcoming campaign.
“Jack is one for the future. He’s a good young player,” QPR boss Harry Redknapp told their official website. “He’ll continue his development at Huddersfield this season in the Championship, where I’m sure he’ll do well.”
Following the Reds capture of fullback Alberto Moreno, for slots in the Liverpool defense got even more fierce and Robinson never looked likely to get any significant playing time at Anfield this season. “It was an easy decision for me to come here for a new challenge” he said after the deal was made official. “Hopefully I can do well here and establish myself as a Premier League player in the future. The loan spell at Huddersfield will no doubt serve me well for my future at QPR – I definitely need another season of games under my belt.”
We wish Jack all the best for the future.
