Liverpool chasing the signature of £45million star – Face competition

Liverpool are linked with more than a few quality attacking players and Ajax star David Neres is one of them.

According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool are one of several clubs chasing the signature of the Brazilian international, who had a terrific campaign with the Dutch giants.

As far as the competition is concerned, last month, it was reported that the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United are looking to lure the Samba star, who is valued at £45million (The S*N via The Daily Mail)

Transfer Story – Liverpool seem willing to pay £43million to secure signing of forward

In the recently concluded Eredivisie campaign, Neres started 20 times for the Dutch club and directly contributed in 19 goals (8 goals and 11 assists) to help them win the title.

In the KO stages of the Champions League, the South American playmaker scored vital goals against European giants like Real Madrid (Round of 16) and Juventus (Quarter Final).

As far as Liverpool are concerned, Jurgen Klopp definitely needs more quality options in his attacking third apart from the world class trio of Salah, Mane and Firmino.

In such a scenario, the addition of Neres would be brilliant. The former Sao Paulo man can play on either flank and also as a central attacking midfielder.

Like most Brazilians, he has got a fantastic control on the ball and can dribble well. Moreover, over the years, Klopp has managed pacy wingers and Neres is very fast.

Man United will not be playing CL football next season and if Arsenal also fail to book their place in the competition, then I think Liverpool could be in pole position to lure the Brazilian.

This is one player I could see Klopp going for. Far too many names again being linked with the club but this lad ticks many of the boxes apart from the fee. I would expect something more in the region of £32m.
