Liverpool want £76million signing of star – Report

Few days back Liverpool legend Steve McMahon backed Klopp to sign James Maddison from Leicester City.

Now, recent reports indicate that the European Champions want to secure the signing of the Foxes star.

News – Liverpool looking to sign playmaker with huge £71.2million release clause – Face competition

According to Don Balon, Liverpool want to agree the signing of the 22-year-old England international for a fee of 85 million euros (£76million).

The Spanish source have mentioned that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is also interested in signing the highly rated attacking midfielder.

The former Norwich City player netted 7 goals and provided 7 assists in the last campaign for the 2015-16 Premier League champions. In the current campaign, so far, he has directly contributed in 4 goals in 7 league appearances under the management of Brendan Rodgers.

Leicester only had one shot on target at Anfield last weekend and Maddison made it count by slotting the ball in the net.

He is a fantastic striker of the ball, someone who can take brilliant direct free kicks and has the ability to find the killer pass as well. Maddison’s top performances have earned him a place in the senior international squad and he could make his debut when England face Czech Republic tomorrow in the European Championships qualification fixture.

Have your say – Is Maddison good enough to improve Liverpool’s attack?
