Liverpool player suffers suspected hamstring injury on international duty

Liverpool were fantastic in the last campaign, they finished runners up in the Premier League and ended up winning the UEFA Champions League.

Scottish international Andrew Robertson has been a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

The former Hull City defender has always worked hard for the team and fortunately, his injury record has been brilliant at Anfield (Transfermarkt).

However, the 25-year-old star has suffered a suspected hamstring injury on international duty and that made him miss last night’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Belgium (Sky Sports News).

On Saturday, Robertson hit a fantastic long range strike to open the scoring for his nation vs Cyprus. Unfortunately, in his absence, Belgium won the last night’s contest 3-0.

In the recently concluded season, Robertson provided no fewer than 13 assists in all competitions for Liverpool and he deservedly made it into the PFA Team of the Year and also earned a place in the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season.

The Premier League fixtures will be announced tomorrow and let’s hope, we get all our key players back fully fit before the start of the new campaign.
