More recently, The Daily Mail have claimed that Liverpool have shown firm interest in signing the 19-year-old, who is ready to leave the German Bundesliga club next summer.
The British news outlet have reported that the teenage starlet has not been treated well at Dortmund recently and therefore, he is prepared to depart the club. It is mentioned that the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also looking to sign him.
Last season, Sancho scored 13 goals and provided 19 assists in 43 appearances under the management of Lucien Favre. This season, so far, he has directly contributed in 12 goals in 16 appearances (all competitions) for the German club (Transfermarkt).
For the Three Lions, the youngster has already played 10 games and netted two goals under Gareth Southgate.
In August, Sancho was rewarded with a bumper contract worth £190,000-a-week (The Daily Mail). He mainly plays on the right wing and at Anfield, star playmaker, Mohamad Salah, is the first choice right winger.
The Egyptian international has been world class since joining us from Roma back in 2017 and in all fairness, he is a fan favorite and irreplaceable in the squad.
On the other hand, Shaqiri proved to be a great super sub in the last campaign but our second choice right winger has mostly been on the treatment table in the current campaign.
Have your say – Should Klopp move to sign Jadon Sancho from his former club in the summer transfer window?
