Liverpool signing £80million playmaker would be a massive coup – Opinion
Liverpool have been brilliant thus far and they could end the season with the biggest prize by winning the UEFA Champions League title.
The Merseysiders would be disappointed after failing to win the Premier League title and they need to improve the quality and depth of their squad in the transfer window to beat Man City next season.
If reports (The Daily Mail) in the media are anything to go by then Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha has decided to leave in the summer and the Eagles want £80million from the sale of their prized asset.

In my opinion, the 26-year-old playmaker is one of best attackers in the PL and signing him would be a massive coup for the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp has got a quality squad at his disposal but if he really wants to beat Manchester City to the title next season then he definitely needs to improve the backup options.
As far as the attack is concerned, the Sky Blues have got expensive assets such as the likes of Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez (record signing) as their second choice wingers. In the strike-force, they have a top quality forward in the form of Jesus to cover for Aguero.
On the other hand, at Anfield, Shaqiri, lured from a Championship club, is the backup option for Salah (right wing), Belgian striker Origi is there to cover for Firmino and there is no one in the backup for our first choice left winger, Sadio Mane. So, the depth is surely not good enough.
Therefore, a versatile playmaker should be lured, who can be deployed in multiple attacking positions and I think that Zaha would be perfect for the club. The Ivorian international can play on either flank, as a secondary striker and also as an out and out center forward if needed.
The former Man United player has got blistering pace and he can effectively dribble, cross and shoot the ball with both feet. In the recently concluded PL campaign, the African attacker featured in 34 games for Palace and directly contributed in 20 goals (10 goals and 10 assists).
Have your say – Should Liverpool splash the cash to lure Zaha?
