Daniel Sturridge Dances with a Fan; Or: Don’t Mention the Window

While sifting through vague, mostly recycled, reports on Joleon Lescott, Mamadou Sakho and Tiago Illori this morning, the News Desk found a little pot-o-gold in all the doom and gloom with this video of Daniel Sturridge doing his trademark goal celebration with a fan following Liverpool’s narrow 4-2 victory over Notts County in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.

The Reds needed extra time to dispatch the League One strugglers after blowing a two goal lead, but Sturridge – who found himself on the score sheet twice – still had enough energy following a hard day’s night to goof off with a fan outside Anfield. The England man has been the player to watch in the early days of the Premier League season with two stunning goals in two matches; whether you love it or hate it, the “Sturridge Dance” is always a welcome sight for Liverpool supporters and seeing the 23-year old striker jump out of his car to bust a move is a welcome distraction from the daily grind of the on-going transfer window — which there’s little doubt we’ll hear more about later in the day.

Top man! What a great attitude to do that with the fans, on his way home! That’s how you become a cult figure/hero with the Fans.
(And people were saying he’s big headed and aloof when he was at Chelsea! HA!!)
    yNwa.

honestly, it’s nice to see a player act like a human being for once. sure, they’re really well paid professional athletes, but they’re people too. glad Danny isn’t a humourless robot.
