Liverpool Either Haven’t Acted on Dele Alli Interest or They’re Ready to Complete a Move

Despite being known admirers of MK Dons teenage sensation Dele Alli, Liverpool have yet to approach the League One side about signing the promising youngster according to the Liverpool ECHO, making this — along with your interest in dinosaurs, fashion models and what’s going on down the street — a bit of a non-story.
The 18-year old, who racked up six goals and four assists in 33 appearances for the League One outfit last season, has apparently raised the collective eyebrows of a number of Premier League sides with his outstanding displays. The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are also believed to be interested in tying down a deal for the starlet, meaning Liverpool would do well to act fast to secure the services of the England u18 prospect. That is, of course, if they haven’t already.
Although the ECHO has us only registering an interest in him, that’s only one source. A quick browse through the usual suspects have the Reds either ready to make an offer, lining up an approach or already in negotiations and ready to complete a move worth £3.5 mil for his services. Now, despite the considerable differences in opinion throughout the various media outlets on exactly where this deal — or lack thereof — currently stands, it’s pretty safe to say that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has a bit more than a mere passing interest in Alli.
With favourable comparisons likening him to Steven Gerrard, it’s easy to see why the Northern Irishman would look to bring him to Anfield. The recent capture of Emre Can from German side Bayer Leverkusen has re-enforced the Reds well known policy of recruiting young, promising players before their stock balloons, and if today’s reports are true, they’ll take their plans for the future one step further should Alli make the move from MK Dons.
You can never have too many budding, attack-minded midfielders, right Suso?
This guy is supposed to be from the top drawer, unlikely to go into the first squad, but a step up to Derby in the Championship under the guidance of Steve Mclaren would be good for the 2015/16 season.
