If there were any lingering doubts regarding Mario Balotelli’s impending transfer to Liverpool, they’ve been quickly put to rest with the striker pictured at the Reds training ground Melwood ahead of completing a £16mil move to the Merseyside giants.
The Italian striker, who is rumoured to have taken a pay cut in order to return to the Premier League, left Italy this morning and arrived in Liverpool later in the afternoon to meet the Reds coaching staff and have a tour of the facilities. Although he will ineligible for the match with Manchester City on Monday, the move is expected to be formalized and completed early next week with the striker set to be handed the number 45 shirt at his new club.
