PICTURE: Liverpool Defenders Celebrating Swansea City Win

Liverpool may not have snagged themselves a clean sheet in their last match of the calendar year, but with the Reds thrashing Swansea City to claim two wins on the bounce for only the third time this season, defender Martin Skrtel was more than happy to take to social networking site Instagram to mark the occasion with a snap from the dressing room.
“Gr8 3 points boys” read the caption under the picture of the veteran Slovakian defender along with Mamadou Sakho and converted midfielder Emre Can — the other members of Liverpool’s three man back-line.
A unconvincing win over Burnley on Boxing day left Kopites everywhere with a considerable amount of nerves going into the match with the Swans, but goals from Alberto Moreno, an Adam Lallana brace and an own goal from Jonjo Shelvey saw the Reds recapture the kind of intensity that served them so well last year — something that Skrtel is a big fan of.
“In the last three games against United, Bournemouth and Arsenal we have shown great performances and we need to keep going this way and it will be good for us and results will be better,” said the Liverpool defender following the draw with the Gunners earlier in the month. “We showed a great performance against Arsenal and we moved the ball really well. It was not an easy game, it was tough as it always is against Arsenal, but if we carry on in this way it can be good for us.”
