Liverpool Announcement Regarding Future of Captain Steven Gerrard Expected Later Today

Gerrard has seen his match time reduced this season as Rodgers looked to manage his fitness levels, leading to rumours of a fall-out between the two. Although both were quick to pooh-pooh suggestions that there is tension there, should the Reds skipper decide to leave, the news of his departure alone will surely overshadow any suggestions that internal politics or personality clashes played any sort of role.
