Liverpool Reportedly Set Assaidi Fee

There’s been lot’s of talk of incoming players at Liverpool with bids for Adam Lallana and intense speculation surrounding the futures of Emre Can and Yevhen Konoplyanka doing the rounds, but there hasn’t been too many mentions of players leaving the Anfield outfit.
With Reds boss Brendan Rodgers looking to expand the squad to enable the Merseysiders to compete at a high level both domestically and in Europe next season, it’s expected that the Northern Irishman will be bringing more players in than he sends out. With youngster Luis Alberto looking like he’s set to leave for Spanish side Malaga on loan, the next player out the exit door could very well be Moroccan international Oussama Assaidi — though his departure will surely be permanent.
The winger, who spent last season delighting fans during his loan spell at the Britannia Stadium, is a high priority target for Stoke City boss Mark Hughes. Assaidi has also expressed an interest in leaving Liverpool if a fee can be agreed with the player looking to secure regular football though it sounds like the fee could be a major sticking point.
With a pricetag of £7mil reportedly placed on his head, the Reds are looking to turn a major profit on a player they brought in for £3.5mil from Heerenveen in August 2012. With Brendan Rodgers looking to bring in £30mil through player sales this summer, getting rid of Assaidi could be a major step towards this goal, but its unlikely that their asking price will be met by the Potters and the asking price could very well scupper any deal unless the Reds are willing to work with Stoke City towards a more amicable price.
