Liverpool made £44million in the summer transfer window – Report

Liverpool were highly inactive in the summer transfer window as far as reinforcing the first team is concerned.

Still, not many supporters are going to complain because we sit at the top of the table after four games with 12 points.

According to Mirror Sport, Liverpool made £44million in the summer transfer window from sales and loan fees. On deadline day, Ryan Kent left to join Rangers in a deal worth £7million and Bobby Duncan joined Italian Serie A side Fiorentina for a fee of £1.9million.

The European champions received a loan fee for sending Harry Wilson to Bournemouth and their most lucrative transfer was making striker Danny Ings move to the Saints permanent for £20million (Mirror Sport).

Not to forget, we sold our second choice shot stopper in the form of Simon Mignolet to Club Brugge in a deal worth £8.2million (The Guardian) and Camacho joined Sporting CP in a deal worth £7million (ESPN). 

The good thing is that Klopp has been able to hold on to all the key first team players and that is main reason why we are going so well in the current campaign.

I would like to see Harry Wilson back at the club next season. The young Welsh international has got a peach of a left foot and he has already scored two long range goals for the Cherries including a sensational free-kick strike against Manchester City.

Hopefully, the £44million made this summer would be effectively utilized in the winter transfer window to improve the quality and depth of the squad.
