Did Suarez Actually Bite Ivanovic?

It was a dramatic finish to an emotional day today at Anfield as Luis Suarez once again dominates the headlines. He may have created a goal for Daniel Sturridge, handled in the area to concede a penalty and score in dramatic fashion with the last kick of the match, but his apparent bite on Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic will dominate the headlines as journalists race to their keyboards.

The News Desk can only speculate at this time, but this doesn’t look good for Suarez as his previous history doesn’t bode well for the Uruguyan striker and a lengthy retroactive ban from the FA could be on the cards in the coming days. There have been a number of incidents in the past — namely Spurs striker Jermain Defoe biting Javier Macherano when the Argentine was playing for West Ham United — that ended up going unpunished by the footballing authorities, yet you get the feeling that it’s not going to go down that way this time. A full match reaction is coming soon; in the meantime, let us know what you think in the comments section and on Twitter.
