VIDEO: Former Egypt Manager Hints at Salah’s Liverpool Move

When it comes to the transfer window, everyone has something to say — Bob Bradley is no different. You’d have to be living under a rock to not know that Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for FC Basel winger Mohamed Salah and the former USA and Egypt coach has hinted that a move to Anfield is on the cards for the “Egyptian Messi”.

While talking up his credentials during his unveiling as the new boss at Norwegian side Stabaek, the American hearkened back to his days in charge of Egypt — where he failed to qualify for the 2014 World Cup while in charge of the Pharaohs — and had a little trip down memory lane.

“In Egypt a great success story in the last two years is a young player called Mohamed Salah” said Bradley, who continued, “He left, he left Egypt, first to FC Basel, and from what I read and hear in the coming days you’ll see his name again because they’ll be a big transfer to a Premiership team.”

While he didn’t actually use Liverpool’s name, the Merseyside club are thought to be the frontrunners to sign the promising 2-year old 21-year old in a reported £12mil move from the Swiss Super League side. As speculation continues, this only adds fuel to an already blazing fire…

Wow, if Liverpool go through with the transfer of Salah, it would make him the most expensive ‘2-year-old’ in the history of the game.

I do hope he joins us. If we could score both him and Matic I would be extremely happy with the transfer window 🙂

Speed, goals, good technical ability, young, also looks strong enough for the prem. Liverpool should hurry up and buy him before Spanish and German clubs move in. Sterling is still too raw.

English media reports meanwhile claim that Liverpool will sign the Egyptian player in this transfer window after long negotiations that started months ago..

In related events, FC Basel sporting director George Heitz has said they can’t talk about the Mohamed Salah deal “ I will not talk now , when we end all things I will so we all have to wait till then.”
