VIDEO: Liverpool Launch New Kit Live in Chavasse Park

Once a year, the sun rises in the morning and people all over the world come together to complain about the new Liverpool home kit; yesterday, was that day.

In their first live kit reveal, Liverpool Football Club gave the masses the first (official) look at the home kit for the 2014/2015 season in Chavasse Park in the city center with Reds stars Simon Mignolet, Kolo Toure, Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho emerging from a shipping container wearing the freshly minted strip for the upcoming campaign.

Warrior Sports, who have made a name for themselves in the football world with a string of bold kit designs for the Merseyside giants, got the easy one out of the way — as long as the shirt is red, you won’t hear too many complaints from the Anfield faithful. We’ve got an away kit and a alternate kit yet to come and those always get the masses talking. We’ll see what the American company come out with in the coming weeks. In the meantime, this could very well be the shirt the Premier League champions sport next season.

With this weekends potential title decider with Manchester City looming large, yesterdays kit launch took on a whole new edge — with defender Kolo Toure keeping his fingers crossed. “We hope so. This season is not over yet and there are five tough games coming” said the big Ivorian. “They are really important and we’ll do our best to win it.”
