CONFIRMED: Conor Coady Makes Huddersfield Town Move

After announcing the signing of fullback Javier Manquillo earlier in the day, Liverpool continue to keep their nose to the grindstone and have confirmed that Conor Coady has joined Championship side Huddersfield Town on a three-year deal.
The 21-year old, who made 39-appearances for Sheffield United last season while on loan with the Blades, has attracted the attentions of a number of lower league sides, but the Terriers have won the race for the promising youngster for a fee of £375,000 with a number of performance and appearance related add-on clauses which could see the fee rise to £500,000 in the coming years.
“Conor will come in and make an immediate impact on our first team, but at 21 he still has the capacity to improve further,” said Huddersfield Town boss Mark Robins. “We’ve been looking at Conor’s development very closely for the last two years at Liverpool and then during his loan move to Sheffield United. We are delighted that our work has now come to fruition and every reference we have about Conor – from Brendan Rodgers to Nigel Clough and throughout the Liverpool technical staff – paid testament to his professionalism and leadership qualities.”
Liverpool are expected to jettison a number of players this summer as boss Brendan Rodgers looks to get his squad in tip top shape for the rigors of the coming season. Pepe Reina looks set to leave for Bayern Munich, Fabio Borini is apparently Sunderland bound and Oussama Assaidi should complete his move to Stoke City in the coming days.
We wish Conor all the best at his new club.
