Liverpool to Face FC Basel, Real Madrid and PFC Ludogorets in Champions League Group B

Coming soon

Liverpool are returning to the Champions League for the first time since 2009 and they’ll be doing it in a big way after being drawn against FC Basel, Real Madrid and PFC Ludogorets in Group B.

The Reds, which were in Pot 3 for the draw, now face the tough task of getting out of the group and qualifying for the knock-out rounds, but in this competition, there’s no free rides with the clash against holders Real Madrid sure to be an occasion to remember. “They’re all tough groups but we’re pleased with the group and it’s particularly special to have got Real Madrid in the group,” Reds CEO Ian Ayre told Sky Sports. “We respect everyone but obviously we’ve great memories of games against Real Madrid so it’s very special for us.”

Liverpool’s Champions League schedule is as follows:

September 16 – Ludogorets Razgrad (H)
October 1 – FC Basel (A)
October 22 – Real Madrid (H)
November 4 – Real Madrid (A)
November 26 – Ludogorets Razgrad (A)
December 9 – FC Basel (H)

Mark those on the calendar and get ready for something special. Those European nights you’ve been dreaming about are coming back to Anfield.
