Agent: Suso Has a Four Year Deal Already in Place with AC Milan

Four years in Italy

Liverpool attacking midfielder Suso has never looked like getting a starting spot in the Reds starting eleven, and that’s not something that’s about to change with the promising youngster set for a move to Italian giants AC Milan in the very near future.

Just exactly when he’ll be heading for the door is really the only point of contention. After impressing on loan with La Liga outfit Almeria last season, he was widely tipped for at the very least a supporting role at Anfield this season, though that has failed to materialize with the winger injured for much of the campaign. Out of contract in the summer, the Spaniard is free to discuss terms with foreign clubs over a summer switch — and, with rumours of a move to Milan reaching as far back as September, his agent has been hard at work and has now confirmed that the 21-year old has secured a four year deal with the Rossoneri.

Although it’s believed, at this point anyway, to only be a pre-contract agreement, it more or less represents the end of his time on Merseyside. “I can confirm we have a four-year deal between Milan and Suso,” his agent Jaime Serra told media outlet MilanNews.it. “Can he join Milan from January? It is a possibility, we’ll see what happens at the end of the transfer window.”

There are suggestions that Suso could spend the remainder of the campaign with Liverpool following Milan’s loan capture of Alessio Cerci from Atletico Madrid on an 18-month deal, but if the Reds are able to wrangle even a small fee out of the Italian side to let him join early, he could be heading for a medical before the end of the month. Hopefully, by the time we see the back of Suso, we’ll already have a certain Swiss winger already in our ranks…
