Liverpool Can You Just Make It Easy?
This is me. This is where I search for answers, this is where I indulge in idle chit-chat and pretend the world is listening. This is what I do.

Hello World.
For many of you, this will be your first taste of what’s to come as far as the Chronicles of Neb are concerned, so, it is with that in mind that I begin today’s proceedings by telling you all, in as little words as possible, who I am and what I hope to bring to these parts.
I am the eternal optimist, I am the fan that lives on the other side of the globe and I am here to tell you that things are going to be ok! I have hope in my heart you see and I have a sense of pride in my soul that at times painfully extrudes from deep within and cries in anguish at what may or may not be happening. That is me. The man who fell in love with Liverpool FC too easily and who now carries that weight with pride.
There is however, at this very moment a reluctance to let love in. We have all been wounded, we feel betrayed, we feel like a lover that has been punched once too often by the harsh realities that loving so completely entails. At every corner there is a cry for passion, there is an anguish that has made believing difficult. This is the world we have created for ourselves and as the season’s change and the merry-go-round revolves, we are left with the kind of bitter hope that makes love itself a conflicted two-way street. Can we ever truly be satisfied with love for love’s sake?
The destination is the last part of the journey and although it has it’s place, marked so solidly in a big bold X, it is the journey itself that in many ways defines the man. As fans of Liverpool FC the destination is Liverpool FC, for without that, there is no connection in the first place, but when you dwell on the here and now and you settle for the fact that this is where you are at, that giant X no longer has any meaning. You are lost at the very place that you believed was supposed to be your home.
In times of peril, you can sit there and languish in a pit of self-pity and angst, or you can look back at the journey and remember the reasons why you fell head over heels in the first place. We are many and we have all crossed paths at that X but the journey there is as unique as our collective fingerprints. If you reflect for long enough and see that path in your mind’s eye, you will feel that spark all over again, you will see the actions that led you here and you will see that love for love’s sack is a wonderful thing.
I believe in love, I believe in the sanctity of unconditional love and I am here to tell you all that it is all going to be alright. We are too many to be ignored, we are forevermore Liverpool. Settling for the easy path would never have gotten us here in the first place. We are Liverpool because we have the strength to continue on when every other man, woman and child had long ago given up all hope. We are Liverpool because it is hard sometimes, we are Liverpool because when the world beckons with reality, we continue to dream. We are Liverpool and we will make Liverpool the journey and not just the destination.
On our collective shoulders, we can carry the giant X anywhere we choose to go and at that point, the question where do we go from here, no longer sits in a lonely corner sobbing away the night. On our collective shoulders, we can carry Liverpool forever more. Liverpool FC has our love regardless, is it not time for us all to turn that love into the powerful force it was always meant to be? Collectively, we can turn the greatness that lies within Liverpool FC into our next journey.
Collectively.
Banish the nightmares, banish the dread, banish the destination and come together on our new journey.
For We Are Liverpool and more importantly Liverpool is us.
